Mission Statement – Diversity and Inclusion Task Force
To bridge the gap for diverse groups and creating an environment for inclusion and quality learning for all 4-Hers without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or physical or mental disability. This environment will be the source of innovative ideas and a creative center for all 4-H members.
Diversity Statement- Diversity and Inclusion Task Force
The term diverse audiences, should replace words such as “the minority”. The term diversity refers to a race other than the majority, religion, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, low income/ limited resource families, individuals participating in free and reduced lunch. Within the 4-H realm urban individuals, be considered non-traditional are a diverse audience. Note that the diversity of our organization strengthens our programs and provides uniqueness to our heritage.
The NAE4-HA Diversity and Inclusion Task Force has development a Youth with Different Abilities Resource list to help agents and 4-H professionals to provide all youth with a caring, compatible, and capable environment. These resources will be updated regularly to better meet the needs of 4-H professionals.
