World Food Prize Michigan Youth Institute Presented by Brian Wibby, MSSA, Michigan State University Extension

This program, supported by the World Food Prize Foundation, is for youth in grades 8-12. Michigan youth participate by researching a ‘critical global challenge’ in a country of their choice and by recommending ideas for how the country they choose to study might address the challenge. Participants convene on the Michigan State University (MSU) campus to discuss their research and ideas with their peers, as well as faculty, staff and University students. While on campus, they learn some ways that MSU addresses the critical global challenges in Michigan and around the world. The program is a collaboration between the World Food Prize Foundation, MSU College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, MSU International Studies and Programs, MSU Extension, Michigan FFA and Michigan 4-H.
