Be sure to select a Pre- or Post- Conference Seminar on Wheels during registration! These are purchased individually and not part of the overall registration package. This year these events will be on the Sunday before and the Friday immediately following the conference. Pre-Conference Seminars Sunday November 3rd
Seminar #1:Fruits of Labor Recovery Program - $35 includes lunch buffet.Explore this nationally certified farm-to-table culinary and agriculture program for at risk youth and adults recovering from addiction.
Seminar #2: Greenbank Observatory and Skynet Junior Scholars - $50 includes boxed lunch.Learn aboutThe Skynet Junior Scholars4-H Project Book and tour the world’s largest fully steerable radio telescope at the Greenbank Observatory.
Seminar #3: West Virginia Underground Coal Mine & Tamarack Tour - $50 includes dinner voucher.Take step back into West Virginia history on a tour of the underground coal mine, and visit the Tamarack and experience “The Best of West Virginia” with items created by WV artisans.
Seminar #4: Summit Bechtel Reserve – Cost varies depending on option selected.Visit the permanent home of the Boy Scouts of America’s National Jamboree. This adventure center serves as a training and Scouting facility for millions of youth and adults. During registration, select one of the following options, which all include a boxed lunch.
Option 1:Experience AdventureCourse – Canopy Tour, Cost $120
Includes the 1 hour and 15-minute canopy tour and unlimited time on the climbing wall and laser range.
Option 2:Experience AdventureCourse – Zipline, Cost $100
Includes the 1-hour ziplining adventure and unlimited time on the climbing wall and laser range.
Option 3:Shooting SportsExperience, Cost $62
Participants will experience First Shot Fundamentals and subsequent “experiential learning practice” of two disciplines (choosing from shotgun, air rifle, archery, and black powder).

Seminar #5: Spirits of Southern West Virginia - Cost:$45, includes catered lunch.Visit three local businesses, a cidery, a brewing company, and a distillery, that have brought flavor as well as economic boom to the local economy.
