The Program Leaders’ Working Group (PLWG) has approved a three-year task force to advance the 4-H Thriving Model under the direction of Dr. Mary Arnold at Oregon State University. The task force will work over the next three years to accomplish three main aims:
Developing training materials and opportunities for the professional development of 4-H staff and volunteers
Continuing research on the 4-H Thriving Model with diverse youth in a variety of settings
Working to establish organizational alignment around the 4-H Thriving Model as the model of positive youth development for 4-H
Applications for task force membership are now being accepted (due September 16), with work beginning in October. Task force membership is composed of researchers, faculty and practitioners within the Land-grant system and across all five Extension regions.
