4-H Evaluation and Research Capacity Building Pre-Conference
This pre-conference is designed to provide participants with an overview of the core concepts in evaluation and applied research methods and the tools available to 4-H program staff through the 4-H Common Measures initiatives. Key topics will include the various uses, purposes, and benefits of conducting evaluations and applied research including design, data collection, basics of data analysis and communication of outcomes. Guidance will be provided on how to use findings to make key decisions for improvement of learner outcomes. Examples from recent evaluation and research projects conducted in 4-H programs across the country will be highlighted. This preconference is jointly sponsored by NAE4-HA, National 4-H Council and the S.D.Bechtel, Jr. Foundation.
